ABSTRACT
O avanço das políticas em saúde mental convoca-nos a ressignificar a práxis outrora hegemônica. O paradigma posto atualmente pressupõe que o Centro de Apoio Psicossocial (CAPS) não deva centralizar os cuidados em saúde mental, ao contrário, deve articular estratégias de cuidados no território. Isso exige compor estratégias de atenção combinadas entre atenção especializada e atenção básica. Este estudo relatou a evolução de um acompanhamento clínico em que houve ação conjunta entre uma equipe de Saúde da Família e serviços de Saúde Mental em João Pessoa (PB). Refletimos, aqui, sobre a implicação dos atores envolvidos, os limites e as possibilidades de um manejo técnico em que a intervenção exigiu a superação do modelo pautado no atendimento fragmentado. Ao cabo, propusemos a capilarização de ações de saúde mental via Saúde da Família.
The improvement on mental health policies invites us to re-think the hegemonic praxis of the past. The paradigm presently proposed presupposes that psychiatric outpatient attention centers (CAPS, acronym in Portuguese) should not centralize mental health care. Quite the opposite: it should manage care strategies inside the territory. This attitude demands strategies of specialized and primary health care. This article is the report of a clinical follow-up evolution in which there was a combined intervention of the Family Health staff and the Mental Health Services in João Pessoa ? Paraíba state, Brazil. We analyzed the implications of the actors involved, the limits and the possibilities of a technical procedure in which the intervention required going against a model based on fragmented attention. Finally, we proposed the segmentation of mental health care and its extension through the Family Health Program.
